Glycol unit

The purpose of a glycol dehydration unit is to remove water from natural gas and natural gas liquids. When produced from a reservoir , natural gas usually contains a large amount of water and is typically completely saturated or at the water dew point. Glycol is a water-miscible coolant that is frequently used in heat transfer and cooling applications.

It provides better heat transfer parameters than water, and can be mixed with water to provide a variety of heat transfer characteristics. Glycol comes in two varieties: ethylene glycol and propylene glycol.

The heart of a glycol system is the power pack, a refrigeration unit chilling food grade anti-freeze ( glycol ). The chilled glycol is then pumped through insulated trunkline containing the beer lines. Power packs are sized for the length of run between the keg and the faucet. Glycol Make-Up Unit s are offered in two standard models: Each unit is automatically controlled by a pressure switch for ease of operation. When the system reaches the customer’s specified low pressure set point, the Glycol Make-Up Unit automatically feeds glycol into the system. The unit is equipped with a digital thermostat for temperature assurance.

Glycol Dehydrators, part of natural gas dehydration systems, remove water vapor from gas streams to prevent the formulation of hydrates and corrosion in pipelines. Exterran’s Glycol Dehydration Unit is a reliable, efficient system for removing water from natural gas well streams in order to meet typical pipeline and process specifications. Tetraethylene glycol would have to be regenerated at higher temperatures than TEG to reach the required purity for application in a glycol dehydration unit. Thus, of the four glycols, TEG is the best suited for dehydration of natural gas. Ethylene Glycol (EG) fluid is a colorless practically odorless, low volatile hygroscopic liquid that does not contain any foreign additives.

EG is ideal for recirculation chillers and heaters, and has good rust inhibitors. GD Chillers - Committed to Cold. Glycol Make-Up Units are offered in two standard models: Each unit is automatically controlled by a pressure switch for ease of operation. In this process, triethylene glycol (TEG) or diethylene glycol (DEG) is used to remove the presence of water in the gas stream. Glycol dehydration units are typically represented by a contactor, a flash tank, heat exchangers, and a regenerator, as shown in Figure 1. The engineered package is designed to ensure that critical minimum system pressure levels are maintained.

The Glycol Injection Unit works by pumping glycol into the manifold with a pressure in excess of the pressure in the manifold. Our Glycol Units have dual pumps to ensure that enough anti-freeze is delivered. Psi and are capable of delivering 1ltr per minute at 1000Psi. Schlumberger engineers fabricate and install complete dehydration systems, including custom and standard dehydration systems, glycol purification modules, glycol injection units, and stripping gas recovery systems.

Glycol Cooled draft beer dispensing systems are typically used in commercial applications such as bars, restaurants, and stadiums. These systems use a secondary refrigeration unit (called a power pack or glycol chiller) to maintain draft beer at the proper temperature all the way from the walk-in cooler to the point of dispense. Because of the depressed freezing temperatures, ethylene glycol is used as a de-icing fluid for windshields and aircraft, as an antifreeze in automobile engines, and as a component of vitrification (anticrystallization) mixtures for low-temperature preservation of biological tissues and organs. Propylene Glycol is a Drink Safe, Environmentally Safe Antifreeze. Description The Armstrong Glycol Auto-Fill Units provide automatic glycol make-up for HVAC systems.

The specially molded mixing tank offers a compact package with built-in housing for controls and make-up pump. Specially designed pump for glycol , this circulates the glycol through the chiller and out to the process. Carbon Canister Filter - vertical. The chiller system is controlled so the system will not operate unless the circulation pump is running. This stainless steel pump is specified to supply your process load with chilled glycol.

The process pump takes the chilled glycol from the tank, to the process cooling application, and returns it to the glycol stor-age tank. South Korean-owned firm Lotte Chemical recently commenced operations at its new ethylene glycol (EG) production unit at the company’s Lake Charles, LA plant, company officials told several news organizations. The wet rich glycol then flows from the absorber to a regeneration system in which the entrained gas is separated and fractionated in a column and reboiler. The heating allows boiling off the absorbed water vapor and the water dry lean glycol is cooled (via heat exchange) and pumped back to the absorber. Glycol make-up units are designed to maintain minimum pressure levels in systems that may have small leaks.

The systems are completely automatic and operate as needed to add water or water- glycol solution to a closed loop heating, chilled water, snowmelt, or radiant heat system. The water- glycol solution is contained in. BG Glycol Make-Up Units. Witt’s glycol unit coolers are the environmentally friendly solution to your refrigeration requirements. Offered in a variety of styles, these units are speciļ¬ cally designed for use with glycol mixtures and are ideally suited for stor-age coolers and freezers for restaurants, convenience stores, warehouses and supermarkets.

It is used to regenerate glycol by removing water vapor. The glycol regenerator is an integral part of Exterran’s dehydration unit consisting mainly of a reboiler and still column. Regenerator lean glycol is used to dry natural gas. Cancoil Glycol Product Coolers are designed for use in systems where room temperatures are deg F and above and where cold water or glycol solution is used as the cooling medium. Applications include greenhouses, supermarkets, commercial storages or wherever a stable product temperature and low refrigerant charge are required.

Glycol The Skidmore Glycol feeder is designed to bring an automatic supply of water- glycol mix to a heating or cooling closed loop system. These are factory engineere assembled and thoroughly tested for optimal performance. Our new Siberian Elite glycol chiller has revolutionised the way chillers are built.

Constructed from a rotationally moulded polyethylene tank with an air tight design, it keeps condensation to a minimum and is the most robust tank on the market, superior to stainless steel or fibreglass. Perlick Glycol Cooled Dispensing Towers are engineered to maximize yields specifically for the Perlick remote dispensing system. Insulated dispensing heads, combined with pure copper coolant lines and cold block, maintain chilled beverage temperatures right up to the faucet. Since each FTSs kit includes its own dedicated temperature controller, pump, and tubing, each vessel can be connected to the glycol chiller with its own independent loop. The parallel design of this setup offers the ability to ferment at ale temps in one vessel, and maintain precise serve or crash cooling temps in another vessel.

This water can cause several problems for downstream processes and equipment. Not only check the glycol percentage but also the level, or volume, of glycol in the storage tank. Whaley is a manufacturer of industrial brewery chiller systems.

The brewery industry relies heavily on WPI for quality manufactured products such as glycol chillers, water chillers, glycol pump tank skids, brew-tank temperature control packages, brew-house control centers, and much more.
